Hamilton Women’s Massage Therapy

About me
My name is Joanna. Originally from Hamilton, I began massaging here in 2016 and then moved for a number of years to British Columbia, where I founded and ran a multidisciplinary clinic in Metro Vancouver that is still thriving to this day. I returned to Ontario a few years ago and now treat patients part-time in Hamilton and Burlington. I hold a Bachelor of Health Science degree and taught musculoskeletal anatomy and kinesiology at the West Coast College of Massage and Hydrotherapy.
Treatment Style
MY MANUAL APPROACH is rooted in deep tissue and myofascial work with advanced stretching techniques and nerve work as needed. My treatments are generally moderate to very deep pressure combined with a fluid flow. I like to address clinical issues while providing a deeply relaxing treatment.
MY PATIENTS are often people with chronic pain, repetitive strain and other injuries (including soft tissue nerve impingements like false sciatica, thoracic outlet, carpal tunnel, and double crush syndromes), as well as people with psychological and emotional health problems—those experiencing high stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma-related issues, including PTSD and C-PTSD. I treat many first responders and healthcare workers.
That said, if you’re doing fine and just looking to relax and de-stress, I’ve got you covered as well. Many people see me for general relaxation and maintenance treatments.
Treatment Space
This is a home-based RMT practice. The space is clean and warmly lit. The table is cushioned, fleece-lined, and topped with a soft, wipeable cover. The disinfectant used is Health Canada-approved for coronaviruses. I use premium massage products: fractionated coconut oil on the body and peppermint & lemon peel cream for feet.
Please note, this clinic space is unfortunately not accessible–from the unit entrance to the clinic room, one must ascend a flight of 13 stairs.
Getting Here

Parking is off of Quigley. You may park in the plaza across the street or at 350 Quigley visitor parking (only the two rows of parking spaces closest to Quigley Road, or your car could get ticketed or towed). If you are unsure, it is best to park in the plaza for your first visit.
Payments & Policies
Treatment cost: $115 for a 55-minute treatment or $157.50 for a 85-minute treatment. Fees include HST.
Cancellation: 100% charge for cancellation within 24 hours as with little notice it is difficult to pull someone from the waitlist. If you are unsure if you cannot make it please do not book, and if you feel unwell please give me a heads up so I can check to see if someone on the wait list can take your place should your symptoms worsen. You can also send a loved one in your place (just email me to let me know).
Payment types: I unfortunately cannot take debit at this time. I do accept Visa and MasterCard via my booking software. E-transfer showing proof of payment before departure and exact cash are also accepted.
Direct billing: Patients must pay me up front but I can submit the claim for you, and then you will be reimbursed by your insurer. Please be mindful that insurance companies will not disclose to a clinician your coverage so you should contact them to know your caps, restrictions, and if you need a written doctor’s referral or preauthorization before you book in for treatment (nothing worse than finding that out in hindsight!).
